Job Description: Mission Critical Project Manager

SUMMARY
As a Project Manager with Havtech you will provide administrative and technical support for our sales team and our clients in both the acquisition and fulfillment stages of mission critical projects. This requires a unique combination of sound financial management, customer service skills to work with clients and manufacturers, problem solving skills to ensure accurate equipment design, delivery and fulfillment and to accomplish other specific objectives in a given time frame with limited resources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.
- Primarily responsible for execution of mission critical projects.
- Taking the lead role, post equipment sale, to ensure timely delivery of equipment to the jobsite, coordinating delivery and inspection logistics with the customer site team.
- Managing and resolving all quality/commissioning related items from L1 through facility IST.
- Attending in person and virtual OFCI and commissioning calls with customers.
- Managing equipment start-up and commissioning activities in coordination with manufacturer service teams and site teams.
- Responsible for timely completion of projects and maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Flexibility to travel both in and outside Havtech territory to attend jobsite visits for meetings, equipment inspections and coordination, as required.
- Develop and/or review preliminary and/or final submittals as required for timely production release and delivery of equipment.
- Administration and management of projects including coordination with multiple suppliers and customers involving creating and managing purchase orders to meet customer requirements.
- Documents work by maintaining files for each job including, but not limited to, internal and external customer correspondence to mitigate project risk.
- Coordinates service and technical support during start-up and throughout the warranty period.
- Meets deadlines for proposals, submittals, equipment release and other assigned tasks.
- Simultaneously handles a large and diverse number of projects and issues with tact, cooperation and persistence.
- Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS include the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, construction, or other related areas preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree and actively pursuing associate’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, construction, or other related area and/or two (2) to three (3) years of experience in the mission critical HVAC industry performing project management.
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Familiarity with HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
- Must have basic PC experience in Windows environment, working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Web-enabled applications and intermediate level experience with Excel.
- Must possess excellent math aptitude, superior follow-up skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
