Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Customer Claims Analyst to lead the management of customer deductions and credit processing within JD Edwards (JDE). This critical role serves as the primary liaison between our customers and the Accounts Receivables team, ensuring accurate credit issuance and the resolution of invalid deductions. Reporting directly to the Finance Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of ERP systems, and a commitment to operational accuracy and customer satisfaction. This is a remote based role, but there is preference for someone who lives in CA.

Role and Activity

  • Manage inputs from email, JD Edwards Accounts Receivable reporting, and OSD application to process valid customer credits in JDE system to offset deductions, both for Trade and non-Trade deductions. Manage communications to Accounts Receivable Department for invalid customer deductions
  • Work with internal partners as needed to determine if non-Trade deductions are valid. Communication with customers as needed for additional paperwork to validate
  • Process Trade deductions received and validated by Sales in JDE, credits to customers and communicate with AR team to offset deductions in JDE.
  • Participate in internal meetings as needed with internal partners to assess customer behaviors related to deductions, and contribute to planning for and communicating opportunities for efficiency.

 

Experience and Education

  • Undergraduate degree strongly preferred
  • 2 – 4 years’ experience in Supply Chain preferred (e.g. Order Management, Distribution, Inventory Management, Transportation, Demand and Supply Planning etc.)

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret data
  • Well-organized, methodical thinker with excellent decision-making skills
  • Strong and creative problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • APICS certification (or progress toward certification) beneficial

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay range for prospective employees in this role is between $65,000 and $72,000 per year.
