Adult Education Special Education Teacher – The Learning Bank
Monroe Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide instructional support for adult learners at The Learning Bank. This is a part-time position, approximately 5 hours per week, with scheduling to be determined based on program needs.
Responsibilities include:
Providing instructional and academic support to adult education students with identified special education needs.
Developing and implementing accommodations, modifications, and strategies to promote learner success.
Collaborating with staff to support individualized learning plans.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required by district and program guidelines.
Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all participants.
Qualifications:
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Special Education endorsement required.
Experience working with adult learners or alternative education settings preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with program staff and students.
Hours & Compensation:
Approximately 5 hours per week as scheduled by the Learning Bank Director.
