Responsibilities and Duties:
- Approach all encounters with guests and hosts in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Callaway standards, as required by scheduling.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which includes appropriate uniform and nametag when working.
- Comply at all times with Callaway standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
- Attend all meetings/training as required by supervisor or manager.
Safety Operations:
- Lead and manage resort-wide safety initiatives and emergency response programs.
- Develop and maintain Safety Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with HFE company standards.
- Oversee first aid and emergency medical response for all guests and hosts, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
- Conduct regular safety audits, incident trend analysis, and prepare quarterly and annual safety reports for leadership.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations (OSHA, ADA, Workers' Comp, etc.).
- Develop and implement safety SOPs across resort departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, F&B, events, and lodging.
- Collaborate with HR and Training teams to develop and deliver safety training programs.
- Serve as the resort liaison for environmental agencies, health departments, emergency responders, and compliance regulators.
- Participate as a lead member of the Property Emergency Response Team (PERT).
Aquatics & Open Water Safety:
- Develop and oversee safety standards for all aquatic areas including lakes, beaches, and water-based recreational activities.
- Assist with the management of lifeguard and aquatic safety personnel schedules, certifications, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (such as Ellis & Associates or Red Cross) for lifeguard training and open water safety.
- Conduct regular drills and inspections of open water safety equipment, signage, and rescue readiness.
- Coordinate with Recreation and Activities teams to ensure water activities are safely planned and executed.
Security & Loss Prevention:
- Supervise and lead the Security Team in maintaining a visible and responsive presence across the property.
- Develop and maintain Security Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with HFE company standards.
- Develop and maintain Security training and certification standards for all Security Officers per State of Georgia regulations.
- Oversee monitoring and maintenance of surveillance, access control, and alarm systems.
- Investigate incidents, theft, and safety breaches; provide detailed reports and corrective action plans.
- Act as primary contact for local law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other emergency services.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of all incident reports, security logs, and risk assessments.
- Lead the property’s loss prevention program and support inventory control processes.
- Partner with operational departments to assess and mitigate operational safety risks.
- Contribute to annual planning for safety-related capital projects and budgets.
- Support event safety planning, crowd control, traffic management, and emergency evacuation procedures.
- Provide operational coverage and assist departments during peak periods or emergency situations.
Business Operations Support:

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive leadership in safety/security management, preferably in a resort or hospitality setting.
- Experience managing aquatic safety. Experience in open water environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ADA, and Workers’ Compensation practices.
- Certified in First Aid/CPR/AED; Lifeguard Instructor or open water certification a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to walk, stand, or patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Be able to positively motivate and lead a team, conveying information and ideas clearly and effectively so that ownership of high levels of guest service is understood to be the role of each individual team member.

- Be able to identify potential guest issues and then develop methodologies to prevent or limit the impact of those guest issues during the course of guest visits.
- Be able to assimilate complex information and data for various sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
- Be able to effectively listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.
- Be able to work with and understand financial information and data and perform basic math functions.
- Strong leadership and crisis management skills.

- Comfortable working outdoors and in all weather conditions.
- Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with security systems and incident reporting software preferred.
