THE POSITION

The Supervisor, Transport Project Management will help plan and deliver transport projects for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Reporting to the Manager, Transport Project Management this role coordinates multiple sub-projects to ensure on-time delivery, budget compliance, and stakeholder satisfaction, all aligned with FIFA’s transport strategy.

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Supervisor, Transport Project Management for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
Transportation Department Administration  
  • Manage Source of Truth files for the entire department such as: the TPT/AND contact list, Miro org-charts email distribution lists, seating map.   
  • Manage the TPT and SharePoint pages, ensuring they are consistently updated and organized with relevant documentation and resources. 
  • Support the Workforce Change Management App Processes.
  • Take the lead on IFES entry and management for the Transport and Arrivals and Departures teams. Adding names, flights and accommodations into the system. 
  • Be the key point of contact with the travel team and the accommodations team for the Transport and Arrivals and Departures travel needs.  
  • Manage the efficient day-to-day management of office operations, including office supplies, staff schedules, meeting organization, and compliance with office procedures.  
  • Support the Transport & Arrivals and Departures Team Meetings. Ensure that meetings are scheduled and rooms have been requested and secured. Record meetings and create notes to be circulated to the teams.  Make sure agendas are created and updated by staff.  Send reminders to staff about updating the agendas.
Project Planning: 
  • Assist the Manager in leading the end-to-end project management in WeTrack for transport-related initiatives, from initial planning through final execution. 
  • Maintain the transportation project plans, timelines, and reporting systems to ensure project goals are achieved. 
Staff Onboarding 
  • Responsible for maintaining all on-boarding files for FIFA26 Staff, Temporary Staff, Interns, and Volunteers. 
  • Manages the onboarding process for all teammates within the Transport and Arrivals & Departures team. 
  • Coordinate with managers and senior managers on the new teammates first day of work, ensuring that desk space has been assigned and the new teammate has everything they need to succeed starting Day 1.   
Stakeholder Management: 
  • Support the Manager in managing relationships with internal (cross-functional teams,) and external (suppliers & volunteers) stakeholders. 
  • Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, fostering collaboration to ensure successful execution of transport solutions. 
Transfer of Knowledge, and Legacy Documentation: 
  • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and knowledge transfer documents to capture best practices and lessons learned for future events. 
  • Maintain a well-organized library of operating plans and key documentation for easy access and future reference, ensuring legacy planning is supported. 
Other duties as assigned to support the smooth functioning of the Event Transport and Arrivals Departures FAs.

Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sports Administration, Project Management, Event Management, or Engineering.  
  • Major Sport events experience or a combination of education and experience relating to position. 
  • Posses a valid driving license and passport. 
Work Experience
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in project management, transport planning, or event planning, ideally within football, sports, or major international events. 
  • Project Experience: Proven ability to manage at least one large-scale project or event, such as the FIFA World Cup, Olympic Games, or regional football tournaments. 
  • Team Management: Experience working with cross-functional teams, with the ability to support complex projects to completion within timelines.

  • Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
Technology

  • Familiarity with project management software such as SharePoint, We Track, and Monday.com.
