The Clinical Pharmacy Analyst I is responsible for supporting the planning, development, and implementation of clinical and quality pharmacy activities across the organization. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance with prior authorization regulatory and contractual requirements for all lines of business. The analyst collaborates with internal teams and external partners to identify and prioritize process improvements, enhance workflow efficiency, and mitigate compliance risks. Additional responsibilities include documenting procedures, performing data analysis, and supporting system testing to ensure the effectiveness of clinical pharmacy programs and services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with internal resources, external partners/vendors to support the identification/prioritization of clinical and quality pharmacy process solutions to drive problem resolution and prevent compliance risks
  • Creates internal processes that enhance workflow efficiency, identify opportunities for quality improvement and lead in the development of recommendations and evaluation of possible solutions to prevent compliance risks
  • Develops, documents and maintains processes and procedures for day-to-day management of clinical and quality pharmacy activities
  • Performs data entry and analysis as well as testing in multiple system applications

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent work experience is defined as 4 years of professional work experience

Experience

  • 3 years of experience in a pharmacy or health care industry setting with knowledge in medical terminology required

SkillsCertifications

  • Active certification as pharmacy technician required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Possess strong analytical, technical, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to meet schedule deadlines and departmental goals
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles, and accountability
  • Must possess ability to maintain professional relationship with vendors and other external partners
