Our Phoenix campus is expanding and launching a new Dental Hygiene Associate Degree program!

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
I. Strategic Leadership & Program Development
Provide the visionary leadership required to launch, accredit, and sustain a high-quality Dental Hygiene program.
Lead the initial and ongoing accreditation processes with the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), ensuring full compliance with all standards.
Develop, implement, and evaluate the program's mission, curriculum, and strategic goals in alignment with institutional objectives.
Manage the program's budget, resources, and equipment, ensuring fiscal responsibility and a state-of-the-art learning environment.
II. Academic Excellence & Student Success
Oversee the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of all dental hygiene course content.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student retention, success, and professional development.
Lead the student admissions process, including application review, interviewing, and selection of candidates.
Ensure the program effectively prepares students for national board exams and state licensure.
III. Faculty Leadership & Clinical Coordination
Recruit, hire, mentor, and evaluate a team of high-caliber dental hygiene faculty.
Provide ongoing professional development and foster a collaborative, supportive culture among faculty and staff.
Coordinate and supervise clinical instruction, ensuring students meet all clinical competency requirements.
Manage patient care within the campus clinic, upholding the highest standards of safety and ethics.
IV. Community & Professional Engagement
Act as the primary ambassador for the program, building strong relationships with local dental practices, professional organizations, and the community.
Develop and maintain clinical affiliation agreements with external sites to enhance student training opportunities.
Promote the program through participation in career fairs, open houses, and community health events.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
Graduate of a CODA-accredited dental hygiene program.
Current, unencumbered dental hygienist license.
Minimum of three (3) years of full-time clinical experience.
Proven instructional and administrative experience.
Preferred:
Previous teaching experience within a CODA-accredited program.
Documented background in educational methodology.
Skills & Knowledge:
Expertise in current dental hygiene subject matter.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace
