Description
The Development & Marketing Coordinator will support the advancement and visibility of a nonprofit organization that provides support, education, and therapy services to children and families. This position plays a key role in donor engagement, fundraising operations, and marketing communications. The coordinator will manage donor database systems, assist with campaigns and events, and create compelling stories about the organization’s impact.
- Manage and maintain the donor database ensuring accuracy, data integrity, and timely gift entry.
- Create/update and generate acknowledgement letters, donor reports, and mailing lists.
- Track payments/produce monthly reminders for Miracle for Children Society Members and other pledged gifts.
- Process volunteer applications and clearances and track hours/ of volunteers.
- Create and send monthly e-newsletters from department.
- Visit a campus weekly/work with all campus marketing liaison and program team to create multi-media content (short videos, photo stories, graphics) to highlight campus activities, program successes, and donor impact.
- Assist in video production and video editing.
- Support the production/graphic design of marketing materials, event collateral, and promotional items.
- Order and keep an inventory of promotional materials ready for use/coordinate other marketing material ordering and delivery.
- Design and maintain an annual organizational calendar of donor stewardship and marketing activities and strategies that advance annual donors. This includes events, tours, social media calendar, stewardship reports, etc.
- Maintain designated KPI and other required reports.
- Attend and assist in the coordination of special events (i.e. Gala, Poker, Breakfast) and community engagement events.
- Perform administrative duties as needed including filing, copying, sorting, mailing, etc.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prefer bachelor’s degree in marketing, Design, Digital Media, Communications, non-profit management, or related field preferred.
Minimum Experience:
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
- Experience creating social media content and blogs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms; experience with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator) and donor management systems a plus. Interest/willingness to learn other programs (training will be provided)
- Experience in video production is preferred.
