Industrialization Engineer

Location: Belgium – Zaventem

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation of new and upgraded product lines, providing technical support to the operations department, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. Additionally, the candidate will lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement across all operational processes.

Responsibilities/Expectations

  • Contribute to the product development process for new product releases and insourcing projects.
  • Prepare and optimize tooling, automation, and production infrastructure to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards at optimal cost.
  • Provide technical support to the production workforce.
  • Develop and maintain assembly instructions and standard assembly times.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles across production processes.
  • Execute the continuous improvement program to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Provide technical support to other ADB manufacturing sites as needed.
  • Develop and maintain the production Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

Skills/Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic expertise
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in reporting and technical documentation
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and quality management systems

 

IT skills:

  • ERP systems, SAP is a plus
  • MES systems, Tulip is a plus
  • Microsoft Office: outlook, excel, word and PowerPoint
  • Autocad/Solidworks is a plus
  • Programming languages is a plus

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably within a production environment
  • Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing implementation
  • Experience with automation is considered an advantage

 

Education/Certifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, or a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with substantial relevant experience

Languages:

  • Fluent English (spoken - written)
  • Basic knowledge in Dutch and or French or ready to learn it
