JOB SUMMARY:

Palm City Millwork is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused professional to provide critical support to our outside sales team. In this role, you’ll coordinate order processing, pricing, scheduling, warranty services, and customer communication—ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish.

This position requires strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and a sense of urgency. Millwork or building industry knowledge is a plus. We offer an excellent opportunity to learn our products and processes, with a clear career path into an outside sales role within 12–24 months.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate with Outside Sales Representatives via in-person conversation, email, and phone.

• Assist sales representatives with customer service, quoting, written proposals, job acceptance, and job setup.

• Provide customer service by phone and email, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Maintain accurate pricing and partner with Accounts Receivable to resolve outstanding balances.

• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company’s products, services, features, and applications.

• Enter and track quotes, orders, and project details using our CRM system.

• Coordinate with production, logistics, and installation teams to ensure accurate scheduling of jobs and deliveries.

• Ensure complete and accurate documentation, both electronic and hard copy.

• Represent Palm City Millwork with a professional and positive image in all interactions with customers, vendors, and visitors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. 

Experience and/or Training:

• Proven ability to assist customers and resolve sales-related issues promptly.

• Experience providing real-time support throughout the sales process, including bidding, quoting, closing, and follow-up.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Knowledge of ERP system BisTrack preferred but not required.

• Highly organized, dependable, resourceful, and disciplined.

• Excellent time management, customer service, and verbal communication skills.

• Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.

• Familiarity with woodworking or the building industry is a plus. Knowledge in the woodworking and building industry.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to see and differentiate color and to focus.
