We are looking for a Inventory Cycle Counter that is responsible for accurately counting and monitoring inventory located within the facility. Drives powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, elevating platform, reach trucks, sit down lifts, cherry picker, scissor lift, and to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Conducts accurate cycle counts of raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials, and non-conforming materials on a daily basis and physical inventories as required to resolve discrepancies and report findings.
  • Provides feedback and recommendations to support development and integration of policies to enhance inventory accuracy. 
  • Completes transactions in inventory in order to keep product current and from expiring.  
  • Researches and reports inventory discrepancies for follow-up.
  • Reconciles and validates inventory 
  • Supports the Warehouse Supervisor or Inventory Control Supervisor in proper material rotation practices.
  • Provides feedback and recommendations to support development and integration of policies to enhance inventory accuracy. 
  • Inventories materials on work floor, researches and reports inventory discrepancies for follow-up.
  • Regularly moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area.
  • Assists to load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, trailers, or lifting device.
  • Shrink wraps pallets and products on pallets.
  • Verifies staged product for a sales or order or transfer. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

 EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

Able to work with little supervision.

• Able to follow all safety guidelines.

• Good interpersonal skills and able to interact positively and work in a team environment.

 Must be able to successfully pass and maintain certification on all Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) utilized at SK Food Group.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Must be able to follow safety guidelines and rules.
  • Must have strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and meaningful results.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to do basic math. 
  • Proven time management skills with the ability to respond to time-critical issues and work overtime as needed to meet deadlines
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills and be able to use simple math as well as read and write effectively.
  • Must be able to work with WMS/ERP systems to execute stock functions.
  • Must have the ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player.
  • Must be able to pass SK Food Group forklift certification test and drive a forklift on a daily basis.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • This position requires use of a cherry picker and often working up to 40ft in the air tethered to the cherry picker.
