Job Summary: The Processing Shift Lead supports the Shift Supervisor in coordinating daily operations during a designated shift. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for assigning tasks, monitoring workflow, supporting team members, and ensuring that production goals are met safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must be available to work 1st shift (5:30 am until 2:00 pm) or 2nd shift (2:00 pm until 10:30 pm).
  • Must be able and willing to go thru pre screenings such as background and drug test.
  • Serves as the go-to person for team members during the shift.
  • Operate and train/certify others on fork truck certification and yard spotter certification.
  • Support training of new employees and coach team members on best practices.
  • Assist with minor troubleshooting and escalate operational issues to the Shift Supervisor.
  • Ensure proper documentation of production activity, timekeeping, and handovers.
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company policies.
  • Attend all Company meetings and trainings as directed by management.
  • Pursue and recommend industry and leadership development training programs for review.
  • Yard truck experience will be required.
