About the role.
McCain Foods (Canada) is currently seeking a permanent full-time Apprentice Millwright for our Prepared Foods plant in Florenceville – Bristol, NB. Please note that this position is physically demanding and requires working rotating shifts.
What you’ll be doing:
· Responsible for mechanical breakdown and proactive repairs of all equipment in the Florenceville Prepared Foods Facility
· Observe equipment and component conditions while doing jobs, and provide feedback as appropriate
· Provide all information requested on feedback forms as part of completing jobs
· Effectively use SAP system for work orders
· Work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends
· Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with production and maintenance colleagues
What you'll need to be successful:
· Registered Industrial Mechanic/Millwright apprentice. Consideration may be given to a recent graduate from a 40-week community college program.
· Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks
· Ability to accept and embrace change in a fast-paced environment
· Some working knowledge of PC’s and Microsoft Office Suite
· Ability to successfully work individually or collaboratively with others
· Must work with a sense of urgency
· Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be considered an asset
· Successful completion of a 90 day training period

Compensation Package: $ - $ Starting at$26.28 - $35.28 CAD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
