Job Summary:
Meneses Law is seeking an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to join our growing, dynamic team. Reporting directly to the IT Director, you will be responsible for managing and improving our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, security automation, and system reliability. This role offers the opportunity to work on scalable infrastructure solutions, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across our applications.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, automating, and optimizing our AWS-based infrastructure, improving CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, and managing containerized workloads using Docker (AWS ECS) with a future focus on terraform for IaC, and Kubernetes (AWS EKS), both of which will be learned on the job. Security is a top priority, and you will conduct security audits and assessments, enforcing IT operations and cloud security best practices.
A successful candidate will have a strong foundation in cloud services, automation, and security best practices, along with the ability to work independently while contributing to architectural decisions. This position is ideal for those seeking long-term career growth into a Senior DevOps Engineer or Cloud Architect role and prefer a technical, hands-on focus over leadership responsibilities.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
- Manage and maintain AWS-based infrastructure, including EC2, S3, ECS, and Lambda.
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ensuring automated, secure, and efficient deployments.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker (AWS ECS), with potential future involvement in Kubernetes (AWS EKS) on the job.
- Conduct security audits and assessments, ensuring compliance with security best practices.
- Monitor application performance and system health using AWS CloudWatch, and support Prometheus for self-hosted services.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Enforce system security best practices, including IAM role management, least privilege principles, and automated compliance checks.
- Automate cloud resource provisioning, scaling, and monitoring using Bash scripting; knowledge of Python or Go is a plus.
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP’s), infrastructure diagrams, and DevOps workflows.
- Work directly with software developers to improve infrastructure efficiency, automation, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, networking challenges, and deployment failures efficiently.
- Stay updated on DevOps trends, security advancements, and cloud best practices.
- Perform any other tasks or functions deemed necessary to the daily operations of the employer.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, ECS, and Lambda.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions; experience with Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and container orchestration; experience with AWS ECS and Kubernetes (EKS) is a plus.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Security-focused mindset, with knowledge of IAM best practices, vulnerability scanning, and compliance frameworks.
- Scripting proficiency in Bash, with additional experience in Python or Go as a plus.
- Basic networking knowledge, including VPCs, security groups, and load balancers.
- Proficiency in Git and GitHub, including GitHub Actions and Git workflows.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization principles, including integration with Azure Entra ID and AWS Cognito.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a cross-functional team.
- Proactive mindset towards automation and process improvement.
- Commitment to continuous learning, staying updated on DevOps and cloud security trends.
- Detail-oriented and capable of following structured procedures, especially regarding security and infrastructure documentation.
Educational / Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience working in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related role.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud environment in a professional setting.
- Experience working in a macOS based development environment is highly preferred.
Preferred Certifications (Bonus Qualifications):
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner – Foundational
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- GitHub Foundations

Compensation:
Meneses Law believes in Work Life Balance. Operation hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus 2 Saturdays a month for certain positions.
