Description

Verber Dental Group is a dental healthcare system dedicated to serving South Central Pennsylvania. The Data Entry Specialist position will support our Financial Team and the Accounts & Billing Department in providing excellent patient care. 


Position Responsibilities

  • Enter Explanation of Benefits (EOB) information accurately and efficiently into the practice management system.
  • Review and reconcile insurance payments, adjustments, and denials.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate patient account records.
  • Identify and report discrepancies or missing information to the billing/finance team.
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient and financial information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Support the billing and administrative team with additional data entry tasks as needed.
  • Meet productivity and accuracy standards set by the office.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in medical/dental billing or office administration preferred.
  • Previous experience with data entry, insurance billing, or patient account management strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial/insurance information.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
