Responsibilities

  • Ensure all safety compliance programs are being applied within workgroup
  • Supervision of industrial electricians in a mill setting
  • Manage employee schedules
  • Scheduling and preparing work orders
  • Assisting with parts and inventory control, payroll, and preparing and submitting daily and weekly reposts
  • Troubleshooting and failure analysis skills (formal training preferred)
  • Development of the maintenance electrical team members
  • Ensure productivity, housekeeping and quality of work standards are maintained within the electrical maintenance department
  • Meeting established production specifications, schedules and quality standards
  • Responsible for all mill project management activities through work order process
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures as well as allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity
  • Analyze production and maintenance trends to identify problems in order to recommend solutions and improve performance of machine centers
  • Support and ensure preventive maintenance program is on track and on budget
  • Perform all other related tasks that will help drive both the maintenance department and overall success of the mill
  • Occasional field work and travel may be required; domestic and international

Qualifications

  • Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree with concentration in Electrical Engineering, Certified Electrician / Instrumentation Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering Technologist
  • Years of Experience Required: 4-7 years of maintenance supervisory experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical systems, with PLC knowledge being critical
  • Mechanical knowledge is essential
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Oracle E1 CMMS systems are an asset
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to consistently meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and participate in cross-functional team environments
