Responsibilities
- Ensure all safety compliance programs are being applied within workgroup
- Supervision of industrial electricians in a mill setting
- Manage employee schedules
- Scheduling and preparing work orders
- Assisting with parts and inventory control, payroll, and preparing and submitting daily and weekly reposts
- Troubleshooting and failure analysis skills (formal training preferred)
- Development of the maintenance electrical team members
- Ensure productivity, housekeeping and quality of work standards are maintained within the electrical maintenance department
- Meeting established production specifications, schedules and quality standards
- Responsible for all mill project management activities through work order process
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures as well as allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity
- Analyze production and maintenance trends to identify problems in order to recommend solutions and improve performance of machine centers
- Support and ensure preventive maintenance program is on track and on budget
- Perform all other related tasks that will help drive both the maintenance department and overall success of the mill
- Occasional field work and travel may be required; domestic and international
Qualifications
- Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree with concentration in Electrical Engineering, Certified Electrician / Instrumentation Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering Technologist
- Years of Experience Required: 4-7 years of maintenance supervisory experience
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical systems, with PLC knowledge being critical
- Mechanical knowledge is essential
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Oracle E1 CMMS systems are an asset
- Ability to prioritize tasks to consistently meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and participate in cross-functional team environments
