The Warehouse Lead is responsible for maintaining the movement of materials, finished goods, and products with a high level of attention to detail, including return to stock processing and product flow. This position is responsible for coordinating the duties of all material handlers and shippers on the team throughout the shift, providing on the job training for new hires, cross training teammates, and collaborating with all leads to provide smoother transitions to work and planning within the warehouse.

Estimated starting annual base salary is $24.25-$36.42 per hour less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure department goals are consistently met while enforcing a safety-first team mentality.
  • Oversee the daily planning and flow of all outbound products.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient flow both within the warehouse and production, leveraging material handlers and shippers for execution at a high bar.
  • Ensure completion of daily shipping paperwork.
  • Perform internal warehouse audits and daily safety inspections.
  • Prepare information and assist in various certification/customer audits.
  • Lead process improvement efforts for the warehouse teams.
  • Drive the return to stock (RTS) process for the warehouse and inventory teams.

People Leader Responsibilities

This position carries out people leader responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide task directions to team members.
  • Provide On the Job Training (OJT) for new recruits.
  • Motivate teams to improve productivity.
  • Oversee and update daily production logs to ensure accuracy in accordance with company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are enforced and met.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment with at least 3 years’ experience performing inventory duties.
  • Experience in food & beverage, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing industry.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability to effectively lead a team to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safe forklift operations and inventory practices and procedures.
  • Completion of a forklift training program including forklift certification per OSHA standards.
  • Proficiency in Inventory Control Systems and Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to use and maintain inventory database/records.
  • Strong communication, organization, time management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and priorities with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal staff and management. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Must be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or professional certification in a relevant field.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The noise level in the manufacturing work environment is usually loud and moderate in the warehouse environment. The Receiving and Inventory Control Lead works near mechanical moving parts, with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and occasionally in outdoor weather conditions.
