ROLE OVERVIEW
The purpose of this position is to lead the HRSG engineering activities to support proposal and contract execution teams for the specification and design review of purchased Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) for use in combined cycle power plants. The position includes significant interaction with Mitsubishi Power applications engineering, engineering teams, global sourcing and project management teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Review Mitsubishi Power client technical specifications against Mitsubishi Power product offerings and offer comment to Mitsubishi Power clients

Prepare technical specifications for HRSG purchase including: Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, Detailed Technical Specification, HRSG performance requirements, HRSG performance guarantee requirements, Scope of Supply/Division of Responsibility Documents, Emission Requirements, HRSG Bill of Quantities

Review project requirements for emission guarantees and develop guarantees to be offered to clients

Interact with HRSG and catalyst suppliers to develop emission guarantees for proposals

Interact and co-ordinate with offsite/overseas teams for HRSG related scope of work

Participate in HRSG contract negotiations as Mitsubishi Power’s subject matter expert on technical aspects

Review thermal performance requirements and advise proposal and project teams

Review HRSG proposals against Mitsubishi Power and customer requirements and ensure compliance

Meet with customers to resolve outstanding technical concerns prior to contract award

Review HRSG supplied drawings and design data for compliance with requirements

Support/Lead HRSG 3D model and design reviews with HRSG suppliers, clients, and EPC contractors

Support project management and global sourcing teams to resolve commercial issues with clients or suppliers

Travel to combined cycle plant sites as needed to assist with technical issues related to HRSG design, installation, or performance

Support Mitsubishi Power initiatives for combined cycle plant and product improvements

Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering from four-year college or university; and at least two (2) years related experience and/or training

Experience with the design and working knowledge of HRSG components or systems required

Working knowledge of combined cycle power plants required

Familiarity with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code Section I and B31.1 preferable

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
-
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); knowledge of database software; project management software; graphics; technical diagrams; flow charts, etc.
