Lakeshore Beverage is seeking a Delivery Supervisor to coordinate and supervise our delivery mission.

The Delivery Supervisor is responsible for the efficient delivery and merchandising of Lakeshore Beverage’s products through the work of Delivery Team Members. The Delivery Supervisor ensures effective selection and onboarding of new Delivery Team Members, responds to customer issues, and optimizes the efficiency of routes. Effective safety and DOT compliance leadership and execution is a must for this position. The Delivery Supervisor participates in and facilitates the development of new CDL holders through the Company ELDT program.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Partners with HR in the hiring process (interviewing, selection and onboarding) to ensure the right fit for the role, an excellent onboarding experience, and achievement of budgeted staffing needs
- Manages, leads, and motivates a team of Delivery Team Members including Drivers, Assistant Drivers, and Casual helpers
- Teaches, coaches, and trains Delivery Team Members on processes and procedures necessary to maximize profit and productivity
- Ensures core internal audit guidelines and procedures are followed and met, including cash handling, time-card management, fuel card management, etc.
- Manages the delivery and merchandising of all presold orders in the assigned territory, to ensure that customer service and company standards are maintained at satisfactory levels while looking for continuous improvement opportunities
- Monitors key business indicators, including the number of cases delivered, finished product loss, percentage of orders delivered, field observations completed, etc.
- Establishes behaviors that ensure a safe working environment is provided and ensures that Delivery Team Members are trained on safe working techniques in the trade
- Partners cross functionally to manage and lead effective communications with sales, warehouse, and route planning teams
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Prior leadership and management experience required
- Must demonstrate good planning techniques and organizational skills
- Ability to lead, coach and develop a team
- Ability to manage constant change in a fast-paced environment
- Computer skills in email, Outlook, Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint , laptop, iPad, and Smart Phone as well as ability to learn Company-selected software
- Knowledge of DOT regulations pertaining to a short-haul motor carrier
- Must be able to lift and merchandise products up to 60 pounds and be able to use various material handling equipment (hand cart, manual and electric pallet jacks, etc) and demonstrate proper techniques to others
- High school diploma or GED – some college and/or degree is a plus
- Knowledge acquired through previous delivery supervisory and/or management roles
- Must currently possess a Class A CDL and a DOT medical card or be able to obtain these within 90 days or less from time of hire
- Acceptable driving record
