A Brief Overview
The Vice President, Marketing is a strategic, data-driven leader responsible for driving growth through integrated marketing strategies across brand, digital, lifecycle, and field marketing, with a strong emphasis on lead generation, customer acquisition, and retention. This role will lead a lean, high-performing global team focused on maximizing resources and delivering measurable impact across the marketing funnel—from awareness to conversion and retention.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the evolving marketing landscape, including the transformative influence of AI, and will bring innovative strategies to improve win rates, generate quality leads for the field, and create memorable brand experiences through events and partnerships. The Vice President, Marketing will report to the Chief Revenue Officer and be a member of the Senior Revenue Leadership Team.
What you will do
- Develop and execute a unified marketing strategy that integrates brand development, digital activation, lifecycle marketing, and event experiences.
- Align marketing goals with broader business objectives to drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Champion a lean team structure that prioritizes efficiency, agility, and ROI.
- Define and maintain brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity across all customer touchpoints.
- Lead innovative campaigns that build brand awareness, loyalty, and differentiation in the SMB market.
- Design and implement hyper-personalized omnichannel lifecycle programs (email, push, in-app) to drive new and expanded growth.
- Collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams to deliver data-driven, customer-centric campaigns.
- Build and manage experiment pipelines to continuously optimize campaign performance and ROI.
- Stay ahead of marketing technology trends and integrate AI-driven strategies and tools to improve efficiency and outcomes.
- Partner with Sales and Field Marketing to generate high-quality leads and improve conversion rates.
- Develop targeted campaigns and content that support field efforts and drive pipeline growth.
- Create impactful national and local experiences that drive partnerships, sales, and customer retention.
- Lead, mentor, and grow diverse global marketing talent, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Monitor KPIs and leverage insights to optimize marketing strategies and investments.
- Manage marketing budgets to maximize ROI and support strategic initiatives and measurable business outcomes.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree preferred
Experience Qualifications
- Typically 12+ years relevant experience.
- 5+ years marketing leadership roles.
- Proven success in growth marketing, brand management, digital marketing, lifecycle campaigns, and event strategy.
- Experience in B2B marketing, preferably targeting SMB audiences.

The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, and the salary range for this location is $250,000.00 - $325,000.00. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Atlanta. All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the company’s discretion. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.
A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
