Internship Details:
- Duration: May – August 2026
- Compensation: Competitive hourly pay based on the academic year of the intern
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday dayshift hours
- Location: On-site at our Monroeville and Murrysville, PA facilities, collaborating directly with engineers and project teams
- Interview Process: Includes a virtual screening, on-site interview, and facility tour. The process will begin in February, with final selections made by the end of March
- Travel: Some travel may be required, primarily to local customers within a 2-hour drive

Key Responsibilities for a Robotics Intern:
- Assist in the design, implementation, testing, and evaluation of robotic automation systems
- Collaborate with our team to finalize system designs, controls packages, and operator interfaces
- Support in generating electrical system bill of materials (BOM)
- Assist in overseeing PLC hardware design through detailed drawings
- Learn and assist in programming the PLC control system according to system specifications
- Support in conducting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
- Contribute to managing multiple small to medium-sized projects concurrently
- Learn to provide technical advice on power and control systems to customers
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues for current and prior customers when needed
Qualifications for a Robotics Intern:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Strong interest in robotics, automation, and controls engineering
- Basic knowledge of control systems for robotic cells and industrial processes is a plus
- Familiarity with programming languages or platforms such as Rockwell PLC, HMI, or Fanuc Robots is desirable
- SolidWorks proficiency is strongly preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Proficiency in using software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Prior internship or co-op experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and navigate tight spaces as required
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Use of hands to handle tools and small components
