Assembly Technician
Summary
Assemble and test scoreboards and accessory products, ensuring that they meet the required specifications and standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail, precision, and dedication to producing high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Assemble components or products according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions.
- Use simple hand tools such as drills, pop rivet guns, clamps, etc., to complete the assembly process.
- Conduct detailed inspections to ensure paint finish, parts, and assemblies meet quality and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain assembly tools and equipment, ensuring they're in optimal working condition.
- Test assembled products to verify performance and identify any issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of assembly processes, inspections, and any modifications made during production.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to ensure assembly processes align with production goals.
- Assist and cross train into other areas.
- Must be able to be on your feet & stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Display a sense of urgency.
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical engineering documents provided.
- Be able to read, comprehend and follow written work instructions and plans.
- Operate Windows and OS2 computers, and mobile devices and use the appropriate authorized business applications, including PYRO, Outlook, Word, Excel, and other systems as assigned.
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility with work schedule and assignments to meet production demand.
- Demonstrate a constant awareness of safety issues, using equipment correctly, and reporting any hazardous conditions or unsafe behaviors to the appropriate Supervisor or Group Lead immediately.
- Maintain all required training, qualifications and certifications as required. To include, but not limited to: required Environmental, Health and Safety Training, Job Training Qualifications, additional technical or skill specific Certifications as outlined in the appropriate Work Center Work Instructions.
