This position is located at (VSFB) Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA.
This position is not eligible for telecommuting
Essential Functions
- Perform operations and maintenance of telemetry mission equipment (antenna systems, receiver/combiners, data recorders, bit synchronizers, signal conditioners, modulators, display recorders and networks)
- Perform all maintenance, equipment/system status reporting, configuration control and logistics duties in accordance with the Integrated Organizational and Depot Maintenance Plan (IODMP) and related LISC Operating Instructions (LOI)
- Perform troubleshooting of electronic hardware and perform repairs in accordance with technical orders and maintenance manuals
- Document all corrective and preventative maintenance using the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS)
- Perform daily operations and launch support activities according to standardized checklists and work instructions
- Complete assigned training in a timely manner to establish a level of proficiency and certification essential for mission support
- Adhere to established policies and procedures pertaining to job site safety and security
- Attain proficiency at troubleshooting and repairing electronic hardware and associated support equipment
- Provide direction and training to other Technicians
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in reading schematics and logic circuity diagrams
Required Experience
- AS degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent industry/military experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years of electronic technology experience; Telemetry related experience preferred
- Electronics experience and/or knowledge of basic electronic principles
- Proficient experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic hardware and associated support equipment
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel and Word
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Able to work at heights up to 50 feet
- Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to sustain prolonged periods of standing, kneeling and or repeated stooping
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
- Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License

The hourly rate for this role is determined by a Collective Bargaining Unit and ranges from $30.89 to $38.58. RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills and knowledge.
