Job Title: General Clerk I (On-Site Lead)
Location: Denver Logistics Center, Golden, CO
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM MT (Flexible shifts within this window)
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Clearance Required: Tier 1 National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
Position Overview:
Join a mission-driven team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at the Denver Logistics Center (DLS). As a General Clerk I (On-Site Lead), you will serve as a frontline leader in a high-impact call center environment, ensuring Veterans and clinicians receive timely, accurate, and compassionate support for medical equipment and services. This is a key personnel role with direct oversight of Veteran Service Support Technicians (VSSTs), contributing to the VA’s national mission of care and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and monitor the daily performance of VSSTs in a fast-paced call center.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on VA programs including audiology, prosthetics, telehealth, and assistive devices.
- Provide technical guidance on VA systems such as ROES and VistA.
- Train staff on call center protocols, email etiquette, order processing, and customer service best practices.
- Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records, track performance metrics, and support reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with the On-Site Supervisor and VA staff to ensure operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with VA policies, security protocols, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a lead or supervisory role in customer service (call center, retail, healthcare, etc.).
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Ability to type 40 WPM and perform 10-key data entry.
- Knowledge of medical equipment terminology is a plus.
- Security: Must pass background check and fingerprint adjudication for federal facility access.
