This position will be assigned to the Georgia Information Sharing and Analysis Center (GISAC), however, the incumbent will be assigned to both Office locations in Atlanta and Decatur, Georgia.
This is a sensitive government position.

Position Duties
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision, processes information requests from internal and external requestors to support various investigation types, to include, criminal investigations and background (pre-employment and pre-appointment) investigations; establishes priorities for processing requests for information; collate, track, process, and disseminate results as required by internal policy; and prepares memorandums summarizing the results of the database checks to ensure pertinent information is provided to requestors. Applies knowledge of specialized computer software and related data systems in support of assignment. The work includes operating common and specialized work unit equipment. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Criminal Intelligence Analyst Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Process information requests from internal and external clients to support various investigation types.
Process GBI background (pre-employment and pre-appointment) investigations.
Utilize various case management systems to enter, gather, maintain, and send information.
Prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports, presentations, and summaries for internal and external clients.
Perform various administrative and clerical duties to support intelligence operations.
Work with other law enforcement agencies, local businesses, and community partners to share information and coordinate efforts.
Involves sedentary work mainly.

The incumbent will occasionally be required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel. Make fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally light lifting/or moving boxes or supplies may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires the incumbent(s) to work in an office setting which includes shared office space with other employees.
NOTE: This position may require some travel and operating a state vehicle. A valid Georgia driver’s license is required.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.
OR
Two years of related experience.
