Job Description:

About the role:

Reporting to the Manager, Business & Systems Analysis Chapter specific to the Disability Solar squad, the Business & Systems Analyst is familiar with a wide variety of concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to IT and general operations. They rely on experience and judgment to plan and achieve goals.

In this role, you will conduct needs analysis, write requirements/user stories, collaborate with various stakeholders and support the team to increase productivity and reduce costs.

What will you do?

  • Analyze and define user needs and translate them into system requirements/epics/user stories/data mapping documents.
  • Work with the team to conduct analysis on business requests with a focus on the links between processes and systems throughout the organization.
  • Create and/or provide comments into internal and external communications and user documentation.
  • Review and provide comments on business and technical documentation.
  • Support business on the roll-out of what has been developed with a focus on end-to-end validation.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience as a Business & Systems Analyst.
  • Understanding of Pega processes and systems.
  • Good understanding of privacy, compliance, control, and security requirements.
  • Skilled in test execution and understanding the outcomes.
  • Knowledge of relevant business, processes, systems, and capabilities.
  • Comfortable with data requirements and related data activities.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience with technology and the ability to self-learn software.
  • Strong interpersonal/relationship building skills with technical and business personnel.
  • Ability to work and demonstrate cooperation in a matrixed team environment and comfortable to work within ambiguous environments.
  • Good multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position reports to a unilingual English-speaking manager outside Quebec.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in supporting customer facing operations is an asset
  • Experience with Miro
  • University degree in business, technology or an equivalent experience

Unique Requirements:

  • As this position is posted in several locations, an ability to work as per the Eastern Time zone is required
  • Occasional overtime on an as needed basis

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
