Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., a multi-office national firm, has an immediate opening for a Records Clerk / Expert Retention Specialist in its Orlando, FL office. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package offered.
This entry-level role is ideal for an individual who is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in building a foundation in the legal field. Prior experience in a legal or administrative support role is preferred but not required.
Job Summary
The Records Clerk / Expert Retention Specialist will support litigation teams by handling records requests, organizing incoming documentation, coordinating expert communications, and maintaining internal systems related to discovery and trial preparation. This role requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Request and track medical, billing, employment, and other case-related records
Review and organize incoming records for attorney and paralegal review
Maintain accurate databases for records requests and expert assignments
Assist in preparing records and materials for expert review and analysis
Coordinate communication with retained experts and ensure deadlines are met
Support document production processes, including copying, scanning, and labeling
Organize case files and provide general administrative support as needed
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive legal information appropriately
Qualifications
Prior experience in a legal, medical, or administrative records-related role is preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to follow up and manage deadlines across multiple matters
Strong communication skills and professionalism when working with vendors and experts
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and scanning software
High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional legal or administrative training a plus
