We’re searching for a high-performing Tax Accounting Analyst II to join our Insurance Accounting Team, a group of hardworking, analytical professionals who are passionate about solving problems, delivering results, and growing their expertise.

Position Summary:
Preparation of journal entries, maintenance of general ledgers and trial balances, preparation of financial statements and federal and state (if applicable) income tax returns and other related duties and tasks for producer affiliated reinsurance company (PARCs), dealer owned warranty company (DOWCs) and/or captive insurance company clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Has a working knowledge of all internal workflows/procedures.
- Working use and understanding of all in‐house financial statement and tax return preparation software, CRM and QuickBooks, requiring limited supervision and/or assistance.
- Noticeable improvement in the efficiency of performance of duties and tasks over Accounting Analyst I performance, including demonstrated problem‐solving skills.
- Limited number of review notes from reviewer/supervisors for client work performed.
- Enhanced communication with clients via phone and email/mail on select correspondence.
- Supervision is still recommended for non‐routine correspondence (i.e. other than tax payment notices and financial statement and tax return filings) with external clients.
Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat and QuickBooks.
- Working knowledge of SAP, GAAP and IRS Tax Code/Regulations.
Skills:
- Critical thinking and problem solving.
- Dealing with and maintaining confidential information.
- Detail‐oriented with superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
- Excellent oral and written communication and time management skills.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience in tax, accounting, or financial reporting
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and QuickBooks
- Familiarity with SAP, GAAP, and IRS Tax Code/Regulations is preferred
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
- A desire to learn, take ownership, and grow your career in a fast-paced environment
