The Clinical Operations Manager position is responsible for improving the clinical operations for the Hospice program. This position is responsible for assisting the Hospice Clinical Director with the implementation of patient care policies and achieving the objectives of the Hospice agency. This position will also provide direct supervision of the clinical staff.

Opportunity Details: 

    • Schedule: Full-Time, 64 hours per pay period. Days 8am-4:30pm. Administrator On-Call rotation.
    • The targeted pay range for this job is $42.00 - $50.00 per hour - this will be an exempt position.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  1. Provides leadership and direction to hospice aides and nurses. Responsible for the hiring, onboarding, training, continuing education, and performance management of hospice aides and nursing team.
  2. Maintains knowledge and compliance of current hospice legal, regulatory and compliance issues. 
  3. Communicates with the Hospice nursing team to assure the highest quality of care is being delivered/maintained for each patient. Ensures customers and referral sources are provided excellent customer service.
  4. Assigns admissions of Hospice patients to appropriate nursing personnel.
  5. Oversees the interdisciplinary medical record to ensure all phases of documentation and treatments support effective patient care.
  6. Assists clinicians in establishing immediate and long-term therapeutic goals, setting priorities, and developing the plan of care.
  7. Participates in community education activities that promote the utilization of the Medicare Hospice benefit. 
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Driving Requirements: Local Travel and Driver’s License Required

Clinical Operations Manager Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • 1 year management or supervisory experience in Medicare hospice
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse within the state in which working and must maintain licensure.
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of Federal and State Regulations, Care planning, Medicare and other reimbursement systems or the willingness to obtain training in these areas.
  • Valid Drivers License, proof of insurance and satisfactory motor vehicle record
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN)
