Position Summary/Goal: To provide an educational atmosphere in which students will move toward the fulfillment of their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and psychological growth. Term of Employment: 12 Month Position
Reporting Relationships:
Reports to Marching Band Director and Director of Athletics
Qualifications:
Possess the ability to effectively advise and instruct middle through high school aged students in the skills of color guard/visual artistry.
Possess the ability to musically choreograph visual interpretations of marching band repertoire.
Possess the ability to instruct color guard skills of flag, rifle, saber and body movement/dance with proficiency.
Possess the ability to work with marching band director, visual/design team, and other members of marching band staff to cooperate in designing competitive visual marching band program.
Have a willingness to attend all rehearsals and functions as scheduled by the marching band director.
Have the ability to identify and coach students of various developmental levels in order to ensure individual success as performers.
Demonstrate experience in competitive marching band (minimum 3 years).
Requirements:
Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Collaborate with the color guard instructor.
Must hold or obtain FBI, Criminal Check, and Child Abuse Clearances.
Evaluation: Annual evaluation will be conducted by Marching Band Director.
