Description

Responsible for building relationships with potential and existing patients, patient education, and conversion of surgery leads to exam and surgery. To serve as a resource for patients and referring doctors, to provide superior patient care and service. Primary role consists of converting Lasik screening candidates to Lasik surgery outcomes, as well as converting cataract surgery candidates to premium lenses and refractive management packages, when appropriate. Meeting or exceeding a conversion percentage protocol set by Mann Eye Institute, and consultation and scheduling of other potential surgeries is required.   


Responsibilities:

  1. Perform patient education consultations on potential surgery patients and convert to exams/surgery in accordance with established protocol
  2. Perform required testing in accordance with established protocol: Auto Refraction, Auto Lensometer, Pentacam, VAs, Chief Complaints, Interpret
  3. Provide appropriate materials to patients regarding surgery
  4. Inform, educate and add-on additional products and services offered
  5. Document patient updates (closed and non-closed leads) in accordance with established protocol.
  6. Schedule patient’s surgery according to established protocol
  7. Handle all scheduled patient follow-up phone calls, text messages, and emails
  8. Follow-up on consult patients that have not taken the next step to book an exam/surgery in accordance with established protocol.
  9. Educate and assist patient with financing options
  10. Confirm surgery patients: confirm date, time, and surgical details
  11. Coordinate refinement procedures
  12. Maintain a professional office that is clean, free of clutter, and ensure you have an adequate number of patient educational materials
  13. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  14. Maintain positive working relationship with doctors and all staff members
  15. Maintain and grow OD referring network 
  16. Meet with business professionals at corporate and executive level for Corporate Vision Program
  17. Proactive in networking events and health fairs
  18. Assist the clinic administrator in carrying out office theme days, events, and other staff activities
  19. Fill-in at other clinics as needed
  20. Other duties as assigned


Requirements

  1. Superior communication skills; oral, written, and platform
  2. Ability to motivate and influence without authority
  3. Possess a wide-ranging knowledge of surgical procedures
  4. Computer literate
  5. Must be able to work as part of a team
  6. Effective organization skills with attention to detail
  7. Present a highly professional image
  8. Able to meet surgical volumes as established by company and your clinic administrator


Education and Experience:

  1. College degree including business-related courses (sales/marketing emphasis preferred)
  2. Two years of proven sales experience
