  • Hours of Work: Typically, Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm but this position requires the ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time, benefited Professional 3 level position. Starting salary range: $55,596.00 - $62,847.00/annually, depending upon experience.

Job Summary: Core responsibilities of this position include

The Recruitment Experience Coordinator is a full-time, benefited position responsible for designing, coordinating, and evaluating strategic engagement initiatives that support institutional enrollment goals.   This position requires specialized knowledge in student development, event strategy, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-impact programming that enhances the LCCC student experience. This role is pivotal in engaging prospects/applicants, their families, and others who may influence their decisions about college.

Position Duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: – this position is exempt and is not eligible for compensatory or overtime pay provisions of the FLSA.  This listing of essential duties is not all-inclusive, but representative, other duties may be assigned).

Advance student recruitment and retention by designing, coordinating, and evaluating strategic engagement initiatives through cross-functional planning aligned with the LCCC Student Experience.

  • Create multiple opportunities each year that engage substantial numbers of prospective students (and preferably their families) from LCCC’s 350-mile market area.
  • Lead the strategic design and continuous improvement of engagement initiatives by independently assessing prospective student needs, analyzing participation data, and applying best practices in student affairs to enhance institutional recruitment and retention outcomes.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and institutional representative in cross-departmental planning groups, contributing insights that shape campus-wide engagement strategies and align programming with LCCC’s strategic enrollment management (SEM) goals.
  • Foster personal and impactful awareness for prospective students and their families of the LCCC campus, Pathways, programs, people, and collectively, the “LCCC Student Experience.”
  • Ensure every applicant has the opportunity for at least one meaningful, comprehensive experience that exposes and connects them to the LCCC campus and its people.
 Engages Strategic Collaboration by building partnerships across departments, coordinating initiatives, and sharing insights to align enrollment goals with broader institutional objectives.
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders to optimize communication and engagement efforts
Strengthen data-informed decision-making by evaluating strategic impact and conducting comprehensive assessments to guide continuous improvement.
  • Develops and implements assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of engagement strategies.
  • Uses data to inform continuous improvement and align programming with institutional goals
  • Prepares reports and presentations for leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Executes admission application processing to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Analyze application trends and operational data to inform strategic enrollment planning, generate actionable insights, and support evidence-based decision-making across the admissions and recruitment lifecycle. 
  • Integrate insights from application processing into the strategic planning of recruitment events by identifying trends, barriers, and engagement opportunities within applicant data to inform event design, enhance outreach effectiveness.
  • Support the admissions processing workflow by assisting with application intake and processing during high volume times.
Other tasks may be assigned based on contemporary institutional needs.

  • Sales and Marketing –Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: 
  • There may be occurrences of interacting with employees and/or students, past employees and/or students, members of the general public, and others who express opinions, may exhibit strong emotions, which will require the employee to interact professionally, diplomatically, and appropriately in such situations
  • While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to move around the assigned work areas as well as within hallways, meeting rooms, and other parts of the campus facilities
  • There may be multiple/daily instances of prolonged sitting, standing, and personal computer use, which would include keyboard and/or mouse usage as well as viewing a computer monitor
  • An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • The overall work environment requires the mental ability to shift focal point quickly due to interruptions; an employee must be able to mentally track multiple projects and tasking as well

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in event coordination, student engagement, or related areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and assessment to inform programming decisions[SM1]
  • Experience managing cross-departmental initiatives or institutional projects
  • Experience in strategic planning or program development in higher education
  • Experience in event coordination, student engagement, or related areas at a Community College
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
