Philanthropy fuels the housing, hunger relief, safety, financial security, and emergency needs work we do at CVOEO as we fight to end poverty. The Philanthropy Specialist helps the Philanthropy & Communications team secure critical support that translates into action and impact in our community. This position helps ensure that every donation and grant is honored, managed, and maximized. Reporting to the Philanthropy Officer and collaborating closely with the Senior CRM and Data Systems Manager, this role supports the full Philanthropy & Communications team by ensuring accurate donor data, coordinating office systems, and supporting grant submissions, annual appeals, and stewardship efforts. Philanthropy is all about building and maintaining relationships, and this role will strengthen the trust and connection between our mission and the community that makes it possible. This role will join a team that is motivated and passionate about creating lasting change. 


This is a 40 hour a week position.

Requirements

Successful applicants will have an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in business, communications, marketing, or a related field OR combination of education and experience in human services or other appropriate disciplines which include 1-3 years related experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired; experience with database entry, analysis, reporting and some project management; Commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment; strong computer and data entry skills (Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Word); Effective verbal and written communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus!
