Summary:
The tool crib attendant supports the shop floor by preparing tool kits for the manufacturing of rotating jet engine components. The applicant is responsible for the completion of tool kits, the condition of tools, and reporting demands. The applicant supports all tool crib related activities to organize the tool crib and inventory management.
Essential Functions:
- Set-up tools, holders, gages, operation sheets, etc. to kits for jobs per specification of Bill of Material for a specified period of time.
- Order and preset special tools, if required.
- Inspect own work for conformance to the traveler, Operation sheet and/or Bill of Material.
- Inspect tools before stocking and manage the inventory by using an inventory software system.
- Create and manage all purchase orders for outside services and tooling needs.
- Reports deviations and demands in tooling to the Production Manager.
- Move tooling packages to a defined area.
- Break down tooling packages from completed jobs into primary components for use on future jobs.
- Inspect tools before stocking and manage the inventory by using an inventory software system.
- Keep the crib area neat and systematic.
- Help packing, unpacking and store receiving items.
- Improve crib processes for storage and inventory management.
- Own all P.O’s that were created by crib attendant and track delivery status.
- Receive all tooling and outside service P.O’s.
- Maintain all tool crib inventory items.
- Assist with packing, unpacking and storing receiving items.
- Perform other related duties or responsibilities as required
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
- High School Degree or G.E.D
- 1+ years of experience in a Manufacturing environment
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel domestically – 5% max
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 35lbs
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to go up and down stairs frequently
