The Welcome Desk Receptionist is an integral team member of Food Bank of the Rockies, creating the organization's first impression. The position is responsible for welcoming and guiding all guests, directing all incoming calls and emails, and providing assistance and information daily. They provide administrative support for the organization as it relates to cross-functional duties.

The mission of Food Bank of the Rockies is to ignite the power of community to nourish people facing hunger. We provide food and necessities to people in need through signature programs and by teaming up with hundreds of Hunger Relief Partners to serve communities across Colorado and Wyoming. Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent guest service through:
- Greeting all building guests upon arrival and directing them to the appropriate location;
- Responding and directing calls, voicemails, and emails to appropriate departments/staff in a timely manner
- Tracking guest response volume to understand trends and opportunities for improvement
- Support neighbors experiencing food insecurity to identify other organizations that will connect them with resources outside of food security.
- Support guests seeking food assistance in person, via email or over the phone in a welcoming manner, including:
- Provide guidance to use navigation tools to find food assistance
- Maintain strong working knowledge of Food Bank of the Rockies direct neighbor services
- Conduct intake for guests seeking food assistance through Link2Feed, as needed
- Guide to Food Bank of the Rockies’ pantry, direct services and Hunger Relief Partners’ services
- Maintain accurate records of neighbors seeking food assistance, including tracking the distribution of emergency food bags and documenting service utilization for reporting purposes
- Manage and restock emergency food bags/pantry available to guests seeking food assistance, and maintain inventory of resources
- Manage calls for neighbors calling about food deliveries through the Everyday Eats and Food for Health programs in Denver
- Maintain strong working knowledge of Food Bank of the Rockies’ daily operations
- Receive and record checks received via mail and drop off for Accounts Receivable processing
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail daily
- Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization of the lobby
- Maintain Conference Center, including cleanliness, set-up, staff and guest reservations and food order through Community Kitchen
- Support tracking of office supply inventory and placing orders as necessary
- Maintain general Food Bank of the Rockies inbox
- Collect organization-wide information and create weekly staff communications
- Assist in coordinating staff meals, celebrations, and functions
- Handle confidential information with discretion and care, ensuring the privacy and respect of employees, volunteers, partners, donors, or others
- Support home delivery programs, including Everyday Eats and Food for Health, including:
- Mail, receive, and process applications
- Support home delivery phone calls
- Back up Link2Feed data entry
- Mail out program-related letters
- Back-up to email monitoring

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of previous administrative support experience
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) required
- Customer service experience preferred
- High proficiency with computers and technology
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn Microsoft Office Suite and similar computer applications
- Experience using collaborative tools for file storage and sharing, meeting scheduling, and virtual collaboration is a plus
Expected Hours of Work:
This role is a full-time, non-exempt position, working approximately 40 hours per week in person, Monday–Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Scheduling flexibility may be considered in the future based on organizational needs.
