Summary/Objective
The Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator performs administrative and clerical support for the Medical Staff Services function.
Essential Job Duties

- Provides assistance to the Director and Credentials Manager in preparation/distribution of correspondence.
- Processes initial/reappointment applications for staff membership of practitioners in prep for review by Medical Staff/Credentials Manager
- Organizes/maintains files required for maintenance of Medical Staff reports/records, meetings, and credential files in collaboration with the Medical Staff/Credentials Manager
- Prepares notices, schedules, special memoranda regarding activities to be sent to practitioners, departments and other personnel at the direction of the Medical Staff/Credentials Manager.
- Maintains required databases relevant to practitioner specific information with high degree of accuracy (e.g. Cactus, HMS, Outlook, B-Line and BHSET website).
- Maintains current knowledge of Medical Staff Bylaws operation standards and assists in interpretation of Medical Staff policies with individual practitioners, as applicable.
