Project Manager

Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the project teams in the development of multiple multi-family projects.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the design team in the development of the construction drawings for assigned projects
  • Provide input during the design process on constructability, budget , and schedule
  • Assist with permitting and plan review process , including coordination with local utility providers
  • Develop the subcontractor and vendor list for assigned projects
  • Manage the bidding process , including initial cost estimate, bid solicitation, compilation of bids received, and preparation of the final cost estimate
  • Negotiate and prepare all contracts and purchase orders
  • Directly monitor assigned projects and Project Superintendents in their daily tasks
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, government officials, equity investors and lenders
  • Administer all construction contracts and purchase orders
  • Review and confirm approval of all subcontractor progress payments and project invoices
  • Review subcontractor and vendor progress reports for accuracy
  • Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards.
  • Drive the closeout process , including local and state inspections, punch list completion and user training
  • Travel to jobsites as needed to coordinate the work on assigned projects

 

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of project management experience, including management of multi-family residential and/or senior-housing projects
  • Minimum educational requirement is a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a construction management or engineering program
  • Demonstrate  extensive knowledge of construction safety and represent strong safety values
  • Use effective verbal and written communication skills. Must be an effective communicator.
  • Utilize strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint & Excel
  • MUST have Procore experience
  • Position requires travel to the Austin, TX corporate office once a month and daily travel to job sites in Dallas, TX
