About the Role
We are currently seeking a Biopsy/Procedure Scheduler to join our team in Daytona Beach, FL. In this role, you will handle both inbound and outbound calls to coordinate and schedule biopsy and interventional procedures for multiple Radiology Imaging Associates centers. This is a patient-facing, fast-paced position that requires excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls from patients and physician offices to schedule procedures
Place outbound calls to schedule exams from incoming referrals
Review and request required documentation (orders, prior exams, etc.) to ensure proper scheduling
Schedule various procedures, including general imaging, biopsies, and interventional exams
Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, physicians, radiologists, and staff
Provide exceptional customer service and resolve scheduling-related inquiries
Assist the phone operator and tech aides as needed
Accurately document interactions and maintain updated patient information
Perform other duties as assigned by the Center Manager
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
At least 1 year of experience in medical scheduling, preferably in a radiology or imaging environment
Familiarity with radiology terminology and procedures
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Strong multitasking and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to remain professional and compassionate in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable with frequent phone use and long periods of computer work
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Work Environment
Office-based/call center setting
Interaction with clinical staff, patients, and physicians
Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required
