Responsible for the daily operation and coordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency in the Academic Advising Center and K-12 Initiatives Programs. Responsible for administration, management and support of complex programs such as Discovery Academy, Perkins Grant and co-planning and registration of camps.
Salary Range:
$20.45 to $27.12
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of:
- Knowledge of communications sufficient to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files
- Accounting/budgeting/expense reporting sufficient to monitor and balance multiple budgets and grants
- Manage an office or work area by planning, organizing, administering, and directing the work of workstudy or student workers.
Ability to:
- Accurately input, verify, and edit electronic data
- Typing/keyboarding sufficient to perform skilled typing tasks with speed and accuracy
- Respectfully engage with clients, coworkers, and customers, when handling difficult or complex problems and resolving escalated complaints or disputes
Preferred Qualification
- Two year degree or diploma
- Experience working in a higher education setting
- Experience working with State of Minnesota-specific computer systems and software programs, such as ISRS, etc.
- Knowledge of FERPA and the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act and ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the work environment.
- Knowledge of St. Cloud Technical & Community College and Perkins Consortium policies, procedures and programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with experience in document formatting, data management, scheduling, and presentation preparation. Comfortable navigating Windows-based systems and basic troubleshooting.
- Superior skills, in organizing, problem solving, prioritizing, and exemplary attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable adjusting to changing priorities and working through procedures and expectations may be unclear
Other Requirements
In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities (Minnesota State) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
