Ready to join in? We are looking for a full-time Office Coordinator to support the Outpatient in the Home Physical Therapy team. The position will be based at the Orthopedic Building in Chicago, IL near the medical district. The potential candidate will be responsible for various administrative tasks at the office. Candidate must provide professional, friendly, and outstanding customer service to all patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Scheduling and registration of patients
- Collecting copayments, self pay and DME payments
- Serves as the liaison between insurance companies, patients, clinical staff and billing
- Maintains patient confidentiality with regard to medical records per company policies and procedures and assures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
- Communicates well in a professional setting
- Supports the Office Coordinator in sharing daily function responsibilities, communicating any questions, changes or updates
- Obtains pre-approval and schedules Function Capacity Evaluations and verifies insurance
- Respond to patient inquiries and needs in a polite and timely manner
- Effectively use and maintain office equipment
- Performs administrative duties/special projects as assigned
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required.
- Strong background in providing excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred.
- Prior medical experience, preferably in Physical Therapy clinic.
- Work well in a team atmosphere and have a strong sense of leadership skills.
- Enjoy interacting with people.

Pay Range: $18 - 19.50 per hour. Pay is dependent on the applicant’s relevant experience.
