Kreston Reeves is an established and highly successful professional services firm, with offices across Sussex, Kent and London. Our Audit team is a core part of the firm, delivering assurance services to a wide range of clients across different industries.
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Audit Senior to join our growing team. Based in our Chichester office, you will play a key role in planning, delivering and completing audit assignments, supervising junior team members, and building strong client relationships.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of clients, work closely with managers and partners, and further develop your technical and leadership skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

About the role

  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring delivery to time, budget and quality standards.
  • Preparing audit work, delegating tasks where appropriate and reviewing work completed by Audit Semi-Seniors and Assistants.
  • Monitoring workflow and communicating progress with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Researching and resolving audit issues, escalating complex matters as required.
  • Preparing audit completion documentation, including Going Concern assessments and KAF files.
  • Supervising, coaching and developing junior team members, providing feedback and guidance.
  • Maintaining audit administration, including accurate APS workflow updates and ensuring all compliance requirements (AML, KYC, engagement letters) are met.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients during fieldwork, maintaining proactive communication throughout the year.
  • Attending client meetings, including planning, review and close-down sessions.
  • Supporting the Audit team in business development activities including networking, contributing to pitches, and supporting cross-referral opportunities across the firm.

What we're looking for

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with experience in audit within a professional services firm.
  • Proven experience of leading audits from planning through to completion.
  • Strong technical knowledge of audit, accounting and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple audits and deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Experience of supervising and developing junior team members.
  • Strong IT skills, including use of audit software and Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive, motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
