About the role
- Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring delivery to time, budget and quality standards.
- Preparing audit work, delegating tasks where appropriate and reviewing work completed by Audit Semi-Seniors and Assistants.
- Monitoring workflow and communicating progress with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Researching and resolving audit issues, escalating complex matters as required.
- Preparing audit completion documentation, including Going Concern assessments and KAF files.
- Supervising, coaching and developing junior team members, providing feedback and guidance.
- Maintaining audit administration, including accurate APS workflow updates and ensuring all compliance requirements (AML, KYC, engagement letters) are met.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients during fieldwork, maintaining proactive communication throughout the year.
- Attending client meetings, including planning, review and close-down sessions.
- Supporting the Audit team in business development activities including networking, contributing to pitches, and supporting cross-referral opportunities across the firm.
What we're looking for
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with experience in audit within a professional services firm.
- Proven experience of leading audits from planning through to completion.
- Strong technical knowledge of audit, accounting and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple audits and deadlines.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Experience of supervising and developing junior team members.
- Strong IT skills, including use of audit software and Microsoft Office.
- Proactive, motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
