The Department of Public Management and Policy is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant (Temp).

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position will provide administrative support to the Department of Public Management and Policy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Acts as the first point of contact for the front office, greeting and assisting callers, visitors, faculty, staff, and students with professionalism and courtesy.

  • Oversee general office operations, including ordering supplies, coordinating deliveries, managing vendor relationships, maintaining inventory, and ensuring timely renewal and compliance with service contracts. Submits Facility Maintenance Requests (FMR) as needed.

  • Maintains organized department records and files, including tracking expenses, contracts, and weekly reports; manages documentation flow and mail distribution. Assists with routing and tracking of signature requests and official documents.

  • Coordinates all aspects of faculty/staff travel, including submitting Travel Authorization Forms, booking airfare and car rentals via Concur Travel, and processing Travel Expense Statements.

  • Perform other professional related duties as assigned.
