Heavy Civil Project Superintendent

We are seeking experienced Heavy Civil Project Superintendents with 5+ years of proven leadership in the field. This role requires the ability to oversee multiple field crews and subcontractors while ensuring all aspects of project execution are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and committed to delivering quality work with a strong emphasis on safety.

Project Superintendents Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and direct field crews in daily work activities.

  • Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with the highest safety standards.

  • Provide supervisors with the resources, information, and equipment needed to execute work efficiently and accurately.

  • Manage subcontractors’ performance, ensuring alignment with project schedule and budget.

  • Interpret and apply project specifications for assigned work items.

  • Track productivity, costs, and progress for assigned tasks.

  • Implement QA/QC processes to ensure the highest level of work quality.

  • Oversee all construction activities on assigned project sites.

  • Proactively identify and address changing site conditions, potential delays, and unforeseen challenges.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including submittals, material tracking, reports, and other required paperwork.

  • Prepare and deliver weekly safety reports.

  • Forecast and manage manpower needs to meet project demands.

Project Superintendents Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of superintendent experience in the heavy civil industry.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage fast-paced, evolving project priorities.

  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, OSHA requirements, equipment, and QA/QC practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Ability to lead field operations effectively while collaborating within a team.

  • Local travel required (within 100 miles of Newtown, PA).

Preferred Certifications & Skills

  • OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Certification required.

  • $115k-$135k annual salary, dependent on experience
