We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our large-scale manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.

The Assembly Supervisor oversees the daily operations of an assembly line within a manufacturing facility, ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency. This role involves managing a team of assembly workers, coordinating workflows, and implementing strategies to improve production processes. You are also responsible for training new employees, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. There will be direct reports for this position, and you will report to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and Directing Assembly Teams: Assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and support to assembly line workers. 
  • Ensuring Production Efficiency: Optimizing workflows, minimizing downtime, and implementing strategies to improve productivity and efficiency. 
  • Maintaining Quality Standards: Ensuring that all products meet established quality control standards and implementing corrective actions when necessary. 
  • Managing Inventory and Resources: Ensuring that the assembly line has the necessary materials, tools, and equipment to operate efficiently. 
  • Enforcing Safety Regulations: Promoting a safe work environment by ensuring that all employees adhere to safety protocols and procedures. 
  • Training and Development: Training new employees on assembly procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards, and providing ongoing coaching and development opportunities for existing team members. 
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of production data, performance metrics, and any issues or incidents that occur during the assembly process. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall production efficiency. 

 

Qualifications

  • Leadership and Management: Ability to motivate and manage a team of assembly workers, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts. 
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of assembly processes, equipment operation, and quality control procedures. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the assembly process, such as equipment malfunctions or production bottlenecks. 
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, other departments, and management. 
  • Organization and Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and meet deadlines. 
  • Knowledge of Safety Regulations: Understanding of relevant safety regulations and the ability to enforce them within the assembly area. 
  • Experience in Manufacturing: Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment, particularly in assembly operations. and problem-solving skills are needed to identify hazards, investigate incidents, and develop solutions. 

Employment will be conditioned upon passing a drug screen and background check.

Physical Requirements

Employees must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Close vision is required for this job. While performing the responsibilities of this job, employees are required to speak and understand English, stand and sit, and use their fingers and thumbs. Employees are frequently required to reach with their hands and arms and are occasionally required to kneel or stoop.

While working in the factory, performing inspections and troubleshooting equipment, employees may be asked to work under varying weather conditions, operate heavy machinery and tolerate moderate noise levels.
