The manufacturing production coordinator will oversee and manage the entire production process, ensuring efficient and timely completion of tasks while maintaining quality standards. As a production coordinator, you will coordinate production schedules, monitor inventory, and collaborate with various teams to resolve issues and meet deadlines. Essentially, you will be the bridge between planning and execution in the manufacturing environment. There will be no direct reports for this position, and you will report to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
- Production Planning and Scheduling: Maintaining production schedules, ensuring efficient workflow, and coordinating with different departments to meet deadlines.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with the purchasing department, and ensuring the availability of necessary materials for production.
- Quality Control: Ensuring that products meet quality standards throughout the production process, collaborating with quality control teams.
- Problem Solving: Identifying and addressing production issues, delays, or bottlenecks, and finding solutions to keep the process running smoothly.
- Communication and Coordination: Maintaining clear communication between different teams, including operations, production, engineering, and procurement, and facilitating the flow of information.
- Reporting: Generating production reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and providing regular updates to management.
- Resource Allocation: Working with management to allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials.
Qualifications
- Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in all aspects of production, from scheduling to quality control.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes: Understanding of production processes, quality control standards, and relevant safety regulations.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools: Experience with production planning software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Netsuite experience a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in an industrial equipment industry.
- Minimum of 2 years higher education.
Employment will be conditioned upon passing a drug screen and background check.
Physical Requirements
Employees must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Close vision is required for this job. While performing the responsibilities of this job, employees are required to speak and understand English, stand and sit, and use their fingers and thumbs. Employees are frequently required to reach with their hands and arms and are occasionally required to kneel or stoop.
While working in the factory, performing inspections and troubleshooting equipment, employees may be asked to work under varying weather conditions, operate heavy machinery and tolerate moderate noise levels.
