The Engagement Associate assists the Director to plan, organize, and carry out a program of activities, which will provide entertainment, intercommunication, exercise, and relaxation. Provides opportunity for residents to express creative talent, and fulfill basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
Schedule: Full Time
Pay: Starts at $14 per hour and goes up based on experience!
Schedule: Monday- Friday 9am to 5pm and every other weekend.

- Assists in carrying out engagement opportunities within the community as assigned by the Director of Resident Lifestyle.
- Provide leadership and direction of activities such as games, exercise, socials and crafts
- Assists with maintaining the Activity Participation Tracking record of resident involvement
- Inform the nursing staff or Director of any unusual behavior of residents
- Complete accurately and timely all paperwork required by the state
- Supervise residents during outings and ensure safe driving of community vehicles
- Required to attend meetings or training in related areas of the position

- All other duties as assigned and/or appropriate to the position
Education: High School Graduate or GED
Licenses or other required certifications: Valid state driver’s license and the ability to maintain active auto insurance, certified in CPR
Experience: Care experience in a senior housing setting
Specialized knowledge, skills, or abilities:
- Proven leadership and organizational qualities
- Knowledge of progression and care of dementia residents
- Computer literate and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills in working with residents, employees, families and the public
- Ability to be flexible, display dedication, sensitivity, patience, honesty, imagination and resourcefulness
- Ability to multi-task and work in environment of changing demands and frequent interruptions
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends
- Must be organized and detailed oriented
