Hybrid Staff Accountant at Camillo Companies

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant applies generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to analyze financial information, reconcile financial statements, prepare and record journal entries, and prepare standard accounting and financial reports for management.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end close process, including preparation of account reconciliations, journal entries, account analysis and monthly financial statement review.
• Preparation of month end financial statement package.
• Review coding of accounts payable invoices.
• Perform monthly financial variance analysis and submit lender covenant reporting requirements.
• Special projects and other duties as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Solid understanding of accounting processes.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and related products.
• Ability to build positive rapport with individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as outside the company.
• Friendly and welcoming demeanor with the ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 1-2 years of accounting experience required
