Job Overview:
The Sales Operations Manager will play a critical role in optimizing the sales process, enhancing sales team productivity, and ensuring operational efficiency within the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will work closely with the sales, marketing, and regulatory teams to drive strategic initiatives that align with our organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Process Optimization:
- Develop and implement best practices for the sales cycle, from lead generation to closing.
- Streamline sales workflows and support tools to ensure the sales team operates efficiently and effectively.
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate customer and sales data in CRM systems.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline analysis, forecasting, and customer retention.
- Ensure that all sales activities comply with industry regulations, including those specific to 503A pharmacies.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment between sales strategies and marketing initiatives.
- Support the customer service team in addressing any sales-related issues or concerns, ensuring a smooth end-to-end customer experience.
Sales Enablement:
- Develop and maintain sales training programs, ensuring the sales team is equipped with the tools, knowledge, and resources to succeed.
- Monitor sales performance and provide coaching and guidance to improve individual and team performance.
Inventory & Order Management:
- Coordinate with the pharmacy and inventory management teams to ensure timely availability of compounded medications and other products.
- Collaborate on demand forecasting to ensure that the pharmacy’s production capacity aligns with sales projections.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of experience in sales operations, preferably within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or compounding pharmacy industry.
- Proficient in CRM systems, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems and order management systems.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical inventory management and compounding processes.
- Project management experience.
